Spring Hill College has a cross-registration agreement with University of South Alabama that permits undergraduate students to register for selected courses with the approval of their advisers, and the Spring Hill and University of South Alabama Registrars during the fall and spring semesters only. 

FERPA Statement


Spring Hill College complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. The College insures a student access to certain official records directly related to the student and prohibits the release of personally identifiable information other than “directory information” without prior written consent of the student, except as specified by the law.

Present and former students have the right to personally review their own records for information and to determine their accuracy. Parents of dependent children, as defined by the Internal Revenue have the same rights. In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 as amended, the College reserves the right to disclose information about dependent students to their parents without the students’ written consent.

A complete explanation of the law is available in the Registrar’s Office. Any complaints regarding Spring Hill College’s compliance with this law may be filed with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Department of Education, Washington, D.C. 20201.

Spring Hill College hosts an "Understanding FERPA" Website for faculty and staff with an outline of FERPA laws and an exploration of specific scenarios where they apply.

European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Information created in the European Union will be transferred out of the European Union to the College. If you feel the College has not complied with applicable foreign laws regulating such information, you have the right to file a complaint with the appropriate supervisory authority in the European Union.

Mission Statement

The Registrar's Office's mission to the Spring Hill College community is one of service to students, faculty, alumni, and other offices through maintaining accurate historical records, facilitating the registration process, disseminating grade reports, ensuring that graduates have fulfilled all requirements, and implementing applicable academic programs and policies, in a manner that embraces the Jesuit Catholic tradition of justice and service to all members of the community.

  • Thursday-Friday July 4 -5 - Independence Day  
  • Monday, September 2 - Labor Day
  • Wednesday - Friday, November 27-29 - Thanksgiving Holiday
