General information for veterans utilizing Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits

The Post-9/11 GI Bill represents landmark legislation for veterans who want to begin or continue their education. The Post-9/11 Bill is a new education benefit program for individuals who have served on active duty on or after September 11, 2001. Its provisions include tuition benefits, a monthly housing allowance and an annual stipend for text books and supplies.

Spring Hill has been approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs as a participant in a special component of this Bill called the Yellow Ribbon Program (YRP). This program enables veterans to choose private colleges and universities for their education at little or no additional cost to them. For study beginning after August 1, 2009, if you fully qualify under this program, the cost of your tuition and fees at Spring Hill College may be covered at 100%.
