Health Needs

We can help you with the following and more:
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Treatment of minor injuries
  • Treatment of minor illnesses such as colds, flu, etc.
  • Confidential referral for treatment
  • Physician referrals for all specialties
  • Allergy injections
There is no charge for routine services provided by the college nurse, Melissa Melton, RN.
August 5th, 2019 IS THE DEADLINE FOR MED PROCTOR FORM SUBMISSION TO THE WELLNESS CENTER. If forms are not completed by then, there will be a hold placed on your account. If you need help with immunization forms please call 251-380-2270. 

Counseling Needs

Counselors are available in the Wellness Center.  Walk-ins are also welcome.  After hours please contact your RA for emergency situations.

Our Staff is Dodie Ward, Melinda Rader, Shivani Bhakta, Licensed Counselors. There is no charge for counseling services in our office. You can contact our office at 251-380-2270.

Hours and Location on Campus

The Wellness Center is located in Toolen Hall. 
Office hours are 8:30am - 12pm and 1pm - 4:30pm.
Counseling services available 9:00am - 4:00pm.
We ask that you schedule appointments in advance, when possible.

Required Medical Forms

All traditional undergraduate students are required to have medical insurance that will cover them in the State of Alabama.

All required personal health information and immunization records are collected through Med+Pass. Please log in and set up an account using your student email address at

If you require allergy injections in the Wellness Center, please read and complete the attached form and email it back to the Wellness Center.
