Responsibilities:

  • Keep up-to-date roll of the members of Panhellenic Council and call it at all Council meetings.
  • Keep current statistics concerning the number of initiated members and new members of each Panhellenic Association member fraternity.
  • Keep and distribute full minutes of all meetings of the Spring Hill College Panhellenic Association, the Panhellenic Council and a record of all action taken by the Executive Board.
  • Maintain a complete and up-to-date file in which include the minutes of meetings of the Spring Hill College Panhellenic Association and its Panhellenic Council from date of it organization; copies of all contracts made by the Panhellenic Council, current correspondence.
  • Be responsible for the official correspondence of the Panhellenic Council unless provided for otherwise (Student Activities, NPC, delegates).
  • Be responsible for the general supervision of the finances of the Spring Hill College Panhellenic Association.
  • Receive all payments due to the Panhellenic Association, collect all dues, and give receipts.
  • Be responsible for the prompt payment of all bills of the Spring Hill College Panhellenic Association.
  • Maintain up-to-date financial records, give a financial report at each regular meeting of the Panhellenic Council and an annual report at the close of her term of office.
  • Make and maintain a budget for the Spring Hill College Panhellenic Association.

Joining an NPC Organization

Spring Hill College utilizes a deferred recruitment process. This means that freshman cannot join fraternities or sororities until the spring semester. Recruitment for Panhellenic chapters is a mutual selection process. You are choosing the organization, just as much as they are selecting you. The Panhellenic Association hosts formal membership recruitment each spring semester. During this process potential new members have the opportunity to visit each NPC member chapter and learn a little bit about the values of that organization as well as the women who are members. The formal recruitment process for spring 2017 will be determined soon. Check back here for updates!

NPHC Information

The National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated (NPHC) is currently composed of nine (9) International Greek letter Sororities and Fraternities: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. On May 10, 1930, on the campus of Howard University, in Washington DC, the National Pan-Hellenic Council was formed as a permanent organization with the following charter members: Omega Psi Phi and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternities, and Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta and Zeta Phi Beta Sororities. In 1931, Alpha Phi Alpha and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternities joined the Council. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority joined in 1937 and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity completed the list of member organizations in 1997.  بوبجي

Intake is the process by which NPHC organizations bring in new members. The timeline for this process is determined by each NPHC chapter individually in line with campus and National policies. Circle of Sisterhood

 
Circle of Sisterhood was adopted in April 2011 as Spring Hill College Panhellenic Association's official philanthropy.

 
A message from the Circle of Sisterhood Foundation:
The American sorority movement was born in the 1800s as an avenue of support for women who were fighting for the right to attend college and earn an education. United as one, the founders of our fraternal organizations paved the way for countless women who would follow. 
 
Now, almost 150 years later, the network of sorority women—more than 5 million strong—is committed to following in our founders’ footsteps by raising awareness on global issues affecting girls and women. 
 
Education for women globally remains a privilege and not a right. Around the world, 70% of out- of-school youth are girls. We represent the less than 40% of the U.S. population with a college degree and the less than 7% of the educated global population.
 
Our sisters around the world will never have the opportunities we’ve had—and continue to have— unless we help.  Our founders stood together to give us these opportunities. Now it is our turn to stand together for our sisters around the world. 
 
Because numerous studies indicate education is the key to eradicating poverty, the Circle of Sisterhood Foundation will leverage the collective wisdom and influence of sorority women to provide financial support to entities that remove educational barriers for girls and women.
