Aetna Student Health Insurance

All full-time undergraduate students must have medical insurance that provides coverage in the state of Alabama. Spring Hill College offers the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan if you do not currently have insurance coverage. The cost for the 2012-2013 academic year will be $1,433. A summary of benefits will be available soon in the "Important Documents" on the left.

Early Enrollment

If you would like to enroll early in the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan before the waiver deadline, please click here. You will be directed to the Aetna website where you can complete the enrollment process. It takes approximately two weeks for a student to be processed through the insurance system. We encourage you to enroll early so that you can receive an insurance identification card prior to the beginning of the fall semester.

Waiving Aetna Student Health Insurance

If you have insurance coverage in the State of Alabama, you will need to waive the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan by the deadline provided or the cost of the plan will remain on your student account and CANNOT be removed after the deadline. The waiver link for 2012-2013 academic year will be available July 1, 2012. The waiver deadline for 2012-2013 academic year is September 15, 2012.
